Job Description

Total Security Solutions is looking for a qualified Inside Sales Guide to join our team. This position reports directly to the Inside Sales Manager and is accountable for meeting (or exceeding) individual, team, and company sales quotas, managing the sales pipeline and maintaining a high close rate.


  • Develop deep product and industry knowledge to provide expert guidance to customers in your specialty area
  • Identify and cultivate new prospects, qualify and disqualify leads
  • Educate prospects about TSS products and services and act as a trusted guide throughout the sales process
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of communication and job details throughout the sales process
  • Gather requirements, review blueprints and job specs, provide guidance in materials selection, measurement, and installation planning
  • Coordinate internal and external communication throughout the sales process
  • Negotiate payment and contract terms with customers
  • Work with the engineering team to develop thorough and accurate proposals, approval drawings, and takeoffs that meet customer specifications
  • Provide support and job intelligence to the engineering team after the sale
  • Develop positive business relationships with new or existing customers


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, with specialization in construction management, preferred
  • Building construction experience - reading blueprints, measurement, installation, materials costing, estimating, takeoffs, etc. Or other relevant experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated success in sales with expertise in negotiation and pricing
  • Excellent writing ability, verbal communication, phone, and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to switch-task easily
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new systems
  • Must be able to accurately type 35-45 wpm
