JOB POSTING:  Human Resource Generalist

Total Security Solutions is looking for a qualified individual to join our team as a Human Resource Generalist. This is a full-time position based in our Fowlerville, MI headquarters and reports to the Director of Administration.

Under general supervision, this position provides daily guidance on Human Resource (HR) programs, processes and policies to ensure consistency and applicability. This role manages many aspects of the employment cycle including recruiting, employee relations, training, and benefits management. Sensitive to the business needs and company culture, this role works with a diverse level of employees in the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest level of customer service to our internal team members and external guests, as a first point of contact for all HR related questions within the HR office either in person, by phone, or email
  • Ensure timely and accurate timekeeping data entry including new hires, rehires, and terminations
  • Assist with all aspects of recruiting process, including developing talent pipelines, coordinating job boards and posting print materials.  
  • Assists with employee communications including newsletters, websites, and social media focused on the employee experience
  • Maintain personnel files, ensures compliance with I-9 documentation and requirements.
  • Organize candidates in the recruitment pipeline and keep track of progress from initial interview to ready to work status
  • Coordinate New Employee Orientation and/or facilitate New Employee Orientation as needed
  • Provide support for projects and initiatives including performance management process, and all employee events
  • Assist with employee relations, benefits processing, Workers Compensation, health and safety, and/or unemployment claims
  • Monitor reports and ensures corporate compliance with processes
  • Establishing strong and effective working relationships with internal/external customers to promote and support positive employee relations, company culture and employee engagement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years related HR Generalist  experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to focus on multiple tasks at one time
  • Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new systems
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
