Total Security Solutions is looking for a qualified individual to join the Wood Shop Team, responsible for manufacturing specific wood components for bullet resistant barrier systems.

This is a full-time position based in our Fowlerville, MI headquarters.

Job Description

As a member of our Wood Shop Team, you will be responsible for manufacturing and creating bullet resistant doors, countertops, and paneling.

Required Skills

  • Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret measurements
  • Ability to read and understand project drawings and blueprints to manufacture appropriate elements
  • Ability to meet deadlines and think on your feet
  • Carpentry skills with experience manufacturing cabinets, tables, countertops, and doors
  • Ability to glue laminate on countertops, cabinets, and doors without wasting materials
  • Hard worker with multi-tasking ability
  • Ability to follow instructions and pick things up quickly
  • Initiative to learn new things and apply them to your trade
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy materials
  • Prepare bulletproof glass barrier components

Related Experience

  • 5 + years carpentry experience with emphasis on working with laminates
  • Fit and finish experience
  • Experience with Formica and Corian a plus
  • Prior shop experience preferred
  • Experience operating power saws, sanders, routers, and other heavy machinery
